Satelliti CubeSat 3U e 2x6U, pronti per il lancio nello Spazio

TYVAK CubeSat 3U and 2x6U satellites ready for launch

Two test campaigns on behalf of Tyvak International have been recently completed with success at the CIRA Space Qualification Laboratory on a 3U CubeSat Deployer and two 6U CubeSat Deployers. The tests, together with those performed in June still at CIRA on the flight model of the satellites, complete the qualification process of both satellites and deployers, now ready to be launched and operated in space.

The 3U and 6U CubeSat Deployers are rail type satellite dispenser capable, respectively, of carrying up to 3 and 6 satellites and serving as interface between the CubeSats and the Launch Vehicle. Both of them have been designed and qualified to fly on board of all Launch Vehicles currently available in the market. The 3U dispenser in fact will fly onboard the Soyuz Russian Launcher in the framework of VS23 Mission, while the 6U dispensers will be launched in a face-to-face configuration on board of the European VEGA Launcher in the framework of VV16 SSMS PoC Mission.

The space qualification tests, carried out at CIRA, allowed to qualify the three Deployers at operational loads (vibrational, mechanical shock and thermal vacuum) that will affect the satellites during launch, release and staying in orbit.

Tyvak International is the European subsidiary of Terran Orbital and leading aerospace provider of nanosatellite and microsatellite vehicles, services and solutions.
